One of the most important aspects of finding a new home is the ability to make it your own. Understanding this, our NewRock team has made upgrades and customizations a central part of our Estates Style communities.

The majority of homes in our bungalow condo communities are purchased before they are built. For some, this might be a scary step to take, however it creates unique opportunities that you might not have elsewhere. Not only does it ensure that you get the unit you like the most, but it also allows you to work with our team to take complete control of your finished home. The sooner you get involved, the more you are able to customize your floorplan — from moving walls, adding cupboards and cabinets, to wall colours, tile and floor selections — it’s all on the table.

To showcase this, here are a few great before and afters! Believe it or not, these are the same floorplan. The photos on the left are of the base Westport plan and the ones on the right are the result of a purchaser’s customizations. Drag the slider to spot the differences!

One of the most significant aspects of this customized plan was the moving of the stairwell. The ultimate goal was to create a larger kitchen that better suited the buyer’s preferences. We did this by reconfiguring the bedrooms in the back of the home and moving the stairs — this opened up the space needed to expand the kitchen. Check it out!
